Maximum MMI following USGS V or moderate to strong shaking which
corresponds with the values we are receiving from our readers at ER.
Focal Mechanism of this earthquake shows a mainly Thrust earthquake.

As the initial hypocenter depth was mentioned at 55 km we could not see
any serious damage risk. In the meantime the preliminary depth values
have been updated to only a couple of km’s. This makes this earthquake
really dangerous for potential serious damage and even injuries. Only
one weakening element : it happened below the sea but still close enough
to the shore to remain dangerous

intermediate depth (55 km) made the Magnitude (5.3) being felt in a wide
radius .
