Update 10:13 UTC : Maximum MMI following USGS V or moderate to strong shaking which corresponds with the values we are receiving from our readers at ER.

Focal Mechanism of this earthquake shows a mainly Thrust earthquake.

Update 09:50 UTC : As the initial hypocenter depth was mentioned at 55 km we could not see any serious damage risk. In the meantime the preliminary depth values have been updated to only a couple of km’s. This makes this earthquake really dangerous for potential serious damage and even injuries. Only one weakening element : it happened below the sea but still close enough to the shore to remain dangerous

Update 09:32 UTC : ER believes that this earthquake will not generate serious damage. The intermediate depth (55 km) made the Magnitude (5.3) being felt in a wide radius .
