Naomi Galiano ist eine 22 jährige junge Frau aus Barcelona. Sie lebt für mehrere Tage auf den Straßen von Algeciras (Cádiz), weil ihr Hund, Pirat, von Agenten der Guardia Civil beschlagnahmt wurde. Sie wartet auf die Freilassung ihres Hundes um nach Hause zu reisen.  Die Agenten der Polizei sagen, das das Tier nicht die erforderlichen Papiere habe um es an den Besitzer zurückgegeben. Von Spanien ist sie nach Marokko gereist, ohne dem Hund alle Anforderungen für den Zugang zu europäischen Gebiet bei der Rückreise zu erbringen. Der Hund hatte einen Pass doch nicht die entsprechenden Impfstoffe gegen Tollwut. Das Fehlen dieser Bedingungen führte bei der Ankunft von Naomi nach Algeciras dazu, das die Hündin bei der Polizei verblieb. Die junge Frau  und ihre Familie versuchen alles, um den Hund zurück zu holen. Derzeit sind die einzigen Optionen, die gegeben werden, den Hund zu opfern, den Betrag von 800 Euro zu zahlen, weil er für 20 bis 40 Tage in einem Zwinger lebt, kann aber auf 550

Mehr als 200 Personen haben am Mittwochmorgen versucht, den Grenzzaun zwischen der spanischen Exklave Melilla und Marokko zu überwinden. Gegen 6.30 Uhr MESZ stürmten zeitgleich an mehreren Stellen Gruppen illegaler Einwanderer die Grenze.
