Hundreds of chickens made a brave bid for freedom when a truck transporting them overturned on a motorway in China Hundreds of chickens escaped yesterday when a truck loaded with thousands of fowls overturned on a motorway in China, releasing them on to the road and surrounding grassland. Images from China Central Television showed traffic police at the scene attempting to chase down hundreds of elusive chickens and place them back in their coops. The runaway chickens forced police to close down a section of the motorway in the southwestern Guizhou province. The truck was carrying coops containing a total of 3,000 chickens, of which 900 escaped. CCTV reported the driver of the truck as saying that the vehicle swerved after he tried to brake whilst driving in dense fog.

Miles de personas, entre ucranianos residentes en Madrid y españoles, se han manifestado en Madrid este domingo en plaza de Colón para protestar por la situación que atraviesa este país. Um etwa 17:00 Uhr nach UTC erlitt fast jedes Gebäude in Lixouri kleinere Schäden. Viele Gebäude, wie Schulen, zeigen schwere Schäden, weil Wände und Dächer eingestürzt sind. Andere Orte  in der Gegend Kefalonia, besonders der Flughafen , sind ebenfalls betroffen. Die Emergencia und Notfallplanung sind in voller Aktion-um die Versorgung an Nahrung und Wasser für die Erdbebenopfer zu organisieren. Die meisten von ihnen werden nicht in ihre Häuser zurückkehren und bleiben draußen in der kommenden Nacht. Einige Erdbebenopfer sidn ins sind im Krankenhaus von Argostoli wegen kleinere Verletzungen, vor allem durch herabfallende Gegenstände / Schutt und Glasscherben verursacht. In Kounopetra ist ein großes Haus  komplett zusammengebrochen, zum Glück, ohne Menschen. Eine relativ große Ascheemission des Vulkans Ätna auf Sizilien (Italien) folgte kurz nach diesen Beben und  wurde stark von der Bevölkerung gespürt.   Eine Verbindung der beiden Ereignisse ist möglich.
