Rio de Janeiro hat den Karneval offiziell eröffnet. Der Bürgermeister übergab dazu traditionsgemäß den symbolischen Schlüssel an den Karnevalskönig des Jahres 2015, Wilson Dias da Costa Neto. Der Karnevalsregent wird jedes Jahr von den Einwohnern gewählt und heißt umgangssprachlich einfach König Momo. Er wird jedes Jahr allgemein gewählt. König Momo schritt dann auch gleich zu seinem wichtigsten Amtsakt und erklärte den Karneval offiziell für eröffnet.

Viele warten gespannt auf das Wochenendes zu Karneval, und für die Feier der Valentinstag. Leider spielt das Wetter an diesem Wochenende nicht so mit. Es wird Regenschauer und Wind geben. Die Temperaturen sind zwar etwas milder aber mit viel Sonne ist leider in fast ganz Spanien nicht zu rechnen. Ein Sturm über den Britischen Inseln verließ gestern das Gebiet und zieht langsam über den Norden Spaniens.
