TEIDE VOLCANO The seismic swarm under Tenerife's volcano began at 5.50am and stopped abruptly at around 12 noon yesterday (Tuesday). The Teide volcano once again put the people of Tenerife on alert yesterday as hundreds of earthquakes were recorded under and around Spain's highest peak. According to the Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcán), the seismic swarm of hybrid events has recorded more than 630 registered events, all of low magnitude, since 05:50 (Canary Islands time) yesterday, 12 July.
