Die Geschäfte in Madrid, besonders die Touristen Geschäfte sind vorgereitet auf das grosse Ereigniss. Alles ist im Zeichen des neuen Königs bedruckt. Ob das Geschäft klappt, werden wir bald sehen.

Die Zeremonie der Proklamation (Ernennung des neuen Königs von Spanien),  wird am kommenden Donnerstag, den 19 .06.2014 vollzogen.  Die Veranstaltung beginnt um 10:30 Uhr . Prinz Philip kommt an diesem Morgen in das Parlament, offiziell als König, und sein Vater , wird am morgigen Mittwoch,  den18. 06. 2014 seine Abdankung unterzeichnen. Um 18:00 Uhr wird im Royal Palace, seine Abdankung wirksam . Eine große Mehrheit der zugelassenen Mitglieder hat die Abdankung anerkannt. Ein Teil der spanischen Bevölkerung fordert jedoch ein Referendum zur Abstimmung "für" oder "gegen" die weitere Monarchie.   Die Regierung der Madrid Delegation hat zwei Demonstrationen und zwei Konzentrationen für den Donnerstag während der Zeremonien verboten. Eine  zeitgleiche Demononstration mit der Proklamation von König Philipp VI,  ist wegen der Sicherheit der Handlungen des Tages nicht vereinbar, das würde ein "echtes" Risiko darstellen, hieß es.
