The German town of Buetzow has been left extensively damaged by what residents described as a tornado that tore off roofs, overturned cars and ripped up trees, with more destruction reported in other parts of Germany. Roof tiles and debris were strewn across the streets and buildings left severely damaged when the storm struck on Tuesday. Dozens of cars were destroyed and people injured as trees were upturned and buildings damaged by the winds. One person in the city of Hamburg was killed by falling debris. The extent of the damage was still to be seen as emergency services tried to assess the situation. More storms are expected in Germany over the next days. CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, México, may.02, 2015.- El fenómeno de Mar de Fondo es un oleaje generado por tormentas en el mar acompañadas de fuertes vientos. Se propaga fuera de la zona donde se ha generado, pudiendo llegar a lugares muy alejados. También recibe el nombre de mar tendida o mar de leva. No es un tsunami, más bien en un oleaje muy largo y continuo, fácilmente identificable a grandes distancias, ya que traen longitudes de entre los 100 y 300 metros, en inglés es conocido como Swwell. No tiene relación alguna con el viento presente, aunque su causa es el viento que se haya originado en otra área distinta. Las tormentas marinas que producen Mar de Fondo, en ocasiones se originan entre el sur de Australia y el Continente Americano, por lo que el fenómeno llega a recorrer distancias superiores a los 10 mil kilómetros hasta las costas mexicanas.
