Publicado el 30 jul. 2016 Sevilla (España), 30 jul (EFE).- El cantaor flamenco José Menese falleció anoche en su casa de su localidad natal, La Puebla de Cazalla (Sevilla, sur), a los 74 años de edad, por causas que todavía no han sido dadas a conocer, ha confirmado el crítico flamenco Manuel Martín. Menese ha sido encontrado muerto sobre las 23:00 horas de ayer viernes y aún está por confirmar aún si el fallecimiento se ha debido a un agravamiento de los problemas de salud que padecía. Nacido el 3 de diciembre de 1942, José Menese estaba considerado uno de los más grandes cantaores no gitanos de la historia, con un estilo elogiado no solo por sus colegas y críticos, sino por escritores como Rafael Alberti, Fernando Quiñones o Antonio Gala. Algunos expertos en flamenco lo situaban a la altura de cantaores como El Lebrijano, fallecido el pasado 13 de julio, en unos días negros para el flamenco, que también perdió el pasado 30 de junio al guitarrista Juan 'Habichuel...
