In Germany, a one-day strike by security staff forced the closure of Hamburg airport for several hours on Monday. Stuttgart and Hannover airports were also affected by the stoppage in favour of wage negotiations in three German federal states.

Nearly all flights were cancelled at Boston's Logan International Airport Monday due to another large snow storm pushing its way through New England. (Feb. 9)
