The longest partial lunar eclipse in over 500 years occurred this Friday Full moon symbol The longest “almost total” lunar eclipse in a millennium was visible in all of North America on November 19, as well as parts of South America, Polynesia, eastern Australia and northeastern Asia, according to NASA. In the United States, night owls on the West Coast and early risers on the East Coast caught the best view.
