Ural giant sinkholes: Russian expedition ventures to solve the mystery

It's been a year since giant craters were spotted in the Russian north, capturing the minds of scientists around the world. They popped up out of nowhere in the Yamal Peninsula, where temperatures can plunge dozens of degrees below zero in winter.
The largest of the holes was found to be more than 60 meters deep.
Their origin gave birth to many wild theories.
