Quake off Papua New Guinea 3/29/15
Officials at the US Geological Survey say an earthquake struck off the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea at 23:48 UTC on Sunday.
The USGS earlier said the estimated magnitude was 7.7, but later revised it down to 7.5.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is a possibility of tsunami of up to 3 meters in Papua New Guinea.
Officials are calling on people to stay alert.
The Center says changes in sea levels may be observed in Japan, Australia, the Philippines and Indonesia.
