Malaysia plane crash: Families speak of their agonising wait for news
Families in Australia speak about their agonising wait to hear news of
their missing loved ones who were aboard the Malaysia Airlines flight.
Relatives
of passengers of the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner remained in a
state of shock as the search for the plane continued.
In Perth,
western Australia, Danica Weeks, whose husband Paul was on board the
MH370 flight, gave a heart wrenching account of her families wait to
hear news.
"I've got a three-year-old who's asking 'when is
daddy going to Skype?' He's got a map on his wall plotted where his dad
is going to be.
"He looks at me and says, 'when is dad going to Skype, will daddy be there, when will he Skype?'," Mrs Weeks said.
Meanwhile,
in Adelaide, southern, Australia, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the
government was looking into ways of helping with the search.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers and their families on that ill-fated aircraft," Mr Abbott added.
Planes
and ships from across Asia have been looking for the Malaysia Airlines
Boeing 777 after it disappeared in the seas between Vietnam and Malaysia
with 239 people on board.
