Eine gewaltige Naturkatastrophe spielt sich derzeit in der Ostschweiz ab und droht, ein ganzes Dorf auszulöschen.--- Das Dorf Brienz im Kanton Graubünden, auf über 1.000 Metern Höhe gelegen, erlebt ein Phänomen, das Geologen als irreversible Gebirgsverschiebung bezeichnen. Untersuchungen haben einen gigantischen, 300 Meter langen Riss bestätigt, der den oberen Teil des Berges vom darunterliegenden Felsgestein abgetrennt hat.---- Diese Dokumentation zeigt den Moment, in dem sich die Natur ihr Territorium zurückerobert. Hauptursache für diesen Prozess ist das Auftauen des Permafrosts tief in den Alpenfelsen.----- Eis, das jahrhundertelang als natürlicher Klebstoff für die Gesteinsblöcke diente, verwandelt sich aufgrund des globalen Klimawandels in Wasser. Die entstehenden Hohlräume füllen sich mit Sedimenten, die als starkes Schmiermittel wirk...
